  • Refabricating Architecture by Philadelphia-based firm Kieran Timberlake is a polemic that decries the current state of residential construction in the United States. While LeCorbusier fetischized the aesthetics of early 20th century industrial production, Kieran and Timberlake are equally as fascinated with the 21st century's processes of construction. They are most entranced by the efficiency of automobile and aircraft manufacturing, and would like to see the paradigm of construction change to emulate the auto industy's use of prefabrication and module based construction.
  • William McDonough, through his book Cradle to Cradle: Remaking the Way We Make Things, hopes to change society's approach to conservation and environmentalism. Rather than focus of minimizing the harm to the environment, true envrionmentalism should seek to create products that nourish the environment, and are integrated to the biosphere.
